Conduct

The College Charter makes you aware of the standards that you can expect from the college. As a student you are expected to observe the following Code of Conduct:

  • Treat with respect all staff, students and visitors to the college.
  • Attend all classes regularly and punctually.
  • Get a message to your course tutor as early as possible if you are absent.
  • Complete all course work (assignments and homework) on time as required by your tutors.
  • Avoid making outside appointments during time-tabled hours.
  • Pay any money owing for fees, examinations, materials, etc. promptly.
  • Note that the college has a “No Smoking” policy.
  • Contribute to a clean, tidy and safe working environment.
  • Have regard for the property of other students, staff and the college.

Do not:

  • Take part in anti-social or illegal behaviour.
  • Eat or drink anywhere within the college except in the designated areas.
  • Bring skateboards on to college property.
  • Bring your bicycles into any of the college buildings. Please secure them outside where they are not blocking any access points.

In exchange we will:

  • Provide regular supportive teaching
  • Mark and set work regularly
  • Help you gain worthwhile qualifications
  • Offer advice and be available when needed
