Recruitment and Selection

How to recruit an apprentice

As well as creating a more responsive and motivated workforce, the benefits of recruiting apprentices are many and varied. Apprenticeships enable your business to develop the skills you need. You may choose to train existing or new employees. Apprentices must be capable of achieving an NVQ at level 2 for Foundation Apprenticeships or an NVQ at level 3 for a Modern Apprenticeship.

Selection

Coleg Powys may be able to assist you with the selection and recruitment of your apprentice. Students completing their studies at Coleg Powys may wish to take up an apprenticeship.

Apprenticeship Funding

Coleg Powys has been approved by the Welsh Government to deliver training. The money we receive is used to support the training and assessment of apprentices including, where applicable, the day release element of the programme.

As an employer you will be expected to pay the apprentice a wage and may be required to contribute towards the cost of training.
