Training courses for businesses and employers throughout Powys
17 local electricians recently attended the 17th Edition Electrical Wiring Regulations (update) course at Coleg Powys delivered by course tutor James Seddon.
The update, which came into force from January 1st 2008, was delivered over 3 evenings culminating in an on-line examination.

Training Courses
Inspection, Testing and Certification 2391-10
Three hours—one day a week x 10 weeks, £400.00 per person
Study of the IEE Guidance (Inspect and Test) and the wiring regulations (BS7671-2008).
This qualification is aimed at those wishing to become NICEIC qualifying supervisors. It is expected that all candidates will be qualified electricians with some testing experience. Plus, all candidates must have completed the City and Guilds 2382 (evidence of this will be required prior to enrolment); and bring a copy of the IEE 17th Edition Wiring Regulations book with them for reference purposes.
17th EDITION ELECTRICAL WIRING REGULATIONS
30 Hours (10 weeks), £315.00 per person
The 17th Edition came into force from 1st January 2008. Since the 1st July 2008 the 17th edition will be the only accepted version that will comply with BS7671. From then on all commercial, domestic and industrial wiring installations must be designed, constructed, inspected and certificated to meet the requirements of BS7671:2008. In line with City and Guilds requirements, Coleg Powys will be delivering a 17th Edition course over 10 evenings each of 3 hours duration, to include an on line multi choice examination.
The price includes: tuition, registration and certification costs including the online examination and refreshments.
