These courses are designed for employees working in the hotel, catering, food and retail industries who require a basic understanding of Food Hygiene.

CIEH Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering
One day 9.30—5.00pm, £60.00 per person

Everyone who works with food has a special responsibility for safeguarding the health of consumers and ensure that the food they serve or sell is perfectly safe to eat. The Level 2 Award in Food Safety addresses the growing need to make learning more  relevant to specific business environments and meet the National Occupational Standards.

The qualification covers the requirements of the Food Safety Act (1990) and provides employees with the knowledge and skills of good food hygiene practice. Upon successful completion of a multiple-choice examination a CIEH certificate will be awarded.

RSPH Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering
One day 9.30am—5.00pm, £60.00 per person

RSPH Level 3 Award in Food Safety Supervision for Catering
Four days 9.30am—5.00pm, £285.00 per person

This Level 3 qualification is designed for those who are, or intend to be, supervisors of food handlers within the catering and hospitality industry. Holders will gain a broad knowledge of food safety and food hygiene, enabling them to identify problem areas and recommend solutions.

The qualification is firmly based on the Level Three National Occupational Standards developed by People 1st, the Sector Skills Council for the hospitality industry and is an ideal progression from the Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering qualification.

BIIAB Level 2 Award for Personal Licence Holders (APLH)Â
One day (please note: times vary at different colleges), £165.00 per person

The licensing law in England and Wales states that anyone who sells or authorises the sale of alcohol to the public must hold a personal licence. The BIIAB Level 2 Award for Personal Licence Holders is the market leader and the industry’s choice.

This qualification provides candidates with everything they need to know to apply for a personal licence and covers the law set by the government. Upon successful completion of a multiple-choice examination an APLH certificate will be awarded. Plus, all successful candidates are eligible for free provisional membership of the BII for six months.
