Training courses for businesses and employers throughout Powys
Any organisation has an obligation to manage health and safety. This is achieved by ensuring compliance with any relevant legislation that is in force, such as The Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, The Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1992 and any subsequent amendments.
Training Courses
CIEH Level 2 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace
One day 9.30am—5.00pm, £70.00 per person
This qualification is designed to ensure that all employees are aware of their own safety and the safety of customers, contractors and the public. The Level 2 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace meets the need for training and will provide employees with an appreciation of the fundamentals of good health and safety practice. Upon successful completion of a multiple-choice examination a CIEH certificate will be awarded.
CIEH Level 2 Award in Principles of Manual Handling
Half a day 9.00am—1.00pm, £55.00 per person
Every employer must ensure that staff must not undertake manual handling without a proper risk assessment and appropriate training. The Level 2 Award in Principles of Manual Handling provides employees with the knowledge and practical skills to apply safe lifting techniques. Upon successful completion of a multiple-choice examination a CIEH certificate will be awarded.
CIEH Level 2 Award in Principles of COSHH
Half a day 9.00am—1.00pm, £55.00 per person
Under the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations (2002) employers are required to assess the risk of all hazardous substances used in the workplace. This qualification will benefit anyone working with hazardous substances and focuses on the information employees need to know regarding substance hazards and their control. Upon successful completion of a multiple-choice examination a CIEH certificate will be awarded.
CIEH Level 3 Award in Risk Assessment Principles and Practice
One day 9.00am—5.00pm, £125.00 per person
Under the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations (1999) there is a duty on every employer and self-employed person to make a suitable and sufficient assessment of the risks to health and safety. This qualification is designed for anyone with the responsibility to conduct risk assessments. It is particularly useful for managers and supervisors, but it will be equally beneficial to individual workers, team leaders, technicians or any other personnel contributing to the risk assessment process. Upon successful completion of an assignment a CIEH certificate will be awarded.
