The full-time programmes, which range from BTEC First Certificate through to BTEC Higher National Diploma, give students the opportunity to pursue a career in a number of specialist fields or to progress on to university.

Departments at Brecon and Newtown are well equipped to provide students with a range of experiences within the field of sport, leisure and tourism. The opportunity to pursue a number
of team sports exists on both sites.

Brecon offers students the opportunity to become a member of the Powys Sports Academy, where they have access to a specialised programme aimed at enhancing sports performance, and is able to make good use of the local environment for outdoor education. Both sites have good links with governing bodies of a variety of sports.

Foundation and Modern Apprenticeships in a variety of specialist areas are delivered across the county.
